Recently enjoyed 3 nights away as a guest of www.provencewineweekends.com which I thoroughly recommend. We visited wineries in Provence and Luberon – La Verrerie; Vallon des Glauges; La Vallongue and Chateau Fontvert. In a region known for rose, I found the reds and whites more interesting.

Sherry is one of my passions so I recently organised a tasting of the main styles – Fino, Manzanilla, Amontillado, Oloroso, Cream and PX. It’s great when people who say sherry is either to dry or too sweet see the range of wines available and go away prepared to give it a try.
